TREVI IS ATTENDING REMTECH 2017, EXPO DEDICATED TO CONTAMINATED SITES REMEDIATION AND LAND PRESERVATION

12 sep. 2017

Remtech 2017 – Contaminated sites remediation and land preservation will be held from September 20 to September 22 in Ferrara, at the exhibition ground. Trevi will attend the event with a stand (Pavilion #4, Stand #126), as Coordinator of "Reliable and innovative technology for the realization of a sustainable marine and coastal seabed management PLAN - Marina Plan Plus" Project.

As far as the project, funded by EASME (Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises), is concerned, Trevi, the Industrial Engineering Department of Università of Bologna, Municipality of Cervia and ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations) are working on the first “real scale” application of an innovative technology which was developed to desilt and maintain at a design depth the seabed of small and medium ports and marinas. Small devices (the so called ejectors) are suitably placed on the port seabed. They prevent the settling matter from settling, conveying it into the main stream outside the harbour. This technology keeps the port entrance free throughout the year, regardless of weather conditions, making the port more usable and safer.

Trevi will present the innovative technology at Coast, the only Italian expo about sea and coast managing and preserving, during the session Italy and its ports- IV Session – Case histories and sediment management best practices, on Tuesday 20th, at 4 PM.
The title of the presentation will be:

LIFE15 ENV/IT/000391 Marina Plan Plus, an innovative project against port entrance siltation and for a sustainable sediment management.
