Lonato del Garda Tunnel: Trevi Spa solution to save precious time

When carrying out the consolidation and foundation works for the Lonato Tunnel, Trevi Spa contacted A4 Autostrada to be allowed to drill from above, occupying two lanes per carriageway alternately, while keeping car traffic almost unchanged.

This solution allowed Trevi to save precious time for the consolidation of the ground between the tunnel and the motorway.

When the work is completed, 40,000 ml of boreholes will be drilled, and more than 5 million litres of grout will be injected into the A4.
